Contact your agent or carrier
Report your loss as soon as it's safe. Ask about Additional Living Expense (Loss of Use), emergency advances, and temporary housing.
Register for assistance
American Red Cross, Spokane County resources, and FEMA if a disaster is declared.
Save every receipt
Keep receipts for hotels, meals, clothing, toiletries, fuel, pet expenses, and household necessities.
Start a home inventory
Work room by room and document everything with photos and video. Use our Home Inventory Form to get started.
Helpful tip: Many mortgage lenders offer temporary payment relief after a federally declared disaster. Contact your lender early to ask about forbearance or hardship options. And don't assume something isn't covered, ask us.
